.

Had attended the global startup weekend event today. Global startups club event was held today at Annular Technologies, Chennai.

Startups I met…,

  • Sarnwhym Global Service P. Ltd. - Talk to S.Shankar about HRMS, VirtualHR
  • ASAL Engineering services - Talk to Sakir Salim if you want to build a G+20 in few weeks.
  • Jorim Group - Talk to Rex Joseph about PMS, Estimation services for Infrastructure related needs.

The buzz

Today there was a talk about perplexity Pro! To talk about AI and the usage of it. I was impressed by how fast and helpful the AI really is. It is helpful because it is constantly find tune and has a real world knowledge

In the words of speaker "lesser hallucinations", or lesser "biased".

What I find the most challenging is convincing people to on board the aI platform. Cost matters a lot. One of the factors that I found the bias and prejudice is now less pronounced with the newer AI., And, an increased challenge to be neutral AI to all kind of prompts.

You may have heard about NanoBannana, but I wonder how many people know the fact that was a project called wonderwheel by Google. This was a precursor to the AI evolution.. One word can have multiple meanings. And it is necessary to derive a context. The new MCP service do that exactly what is necessary to derive meaning without any human intervention.

What is most interesting about the AI software is it focuses on financial accuracy.

Perplexity: The Google killer you should try!

Perplexity.ai is incredible. It's like Wikipedia + ChatGPT had a baby – except it has data from the entire internet – not just Wikipedia

Perplexity AI is more than an LLM

  • In depth company analysis
  • Research at your fingertips
  • Access to every market

When you use Perplexity AI, you get access to the best LLMs available today

  • GPT-5
  • Gemini 2.5
  • Claude Sonnet 4.0

Big picture here is that how do we unlock the power of a pro prompt engineer for a mere mortal? Call Rajinikanth.. He has the prompts ;) Perplexity’s answer engine combines ranking of sources (Google-esque) with relevance of passages within these sources (OpenAI-esque)

If you're paying with a single-year budget for research funds, it's best to start subscribing to AI tools today. Please share your recommendations in the replies! By the way, I'm thinking that Perplexity might be cost-effective for using Deep Research, or maybe Gemini 2.5 Pro seems promising, but I'm also feeling like the free version might be sufficient, so I'm wavering.

Some books

Few book recommendations by the speaker are as follows:-

  • Running lean by Ash Maurya
  • AI driven Leader by Geff woods
  • Ingrain AI - For prompt engineering!

Make sure to write a prompt that's AI model agonstic. Notes to myself: Read about MCP server!
